The dog and the bandana

Brought our Westie for grooming on Sunday (decided to try a new cheaper groomer (petzplanet at opposite Bukit Gombak MRT, $35/groom instead of the normal $70/groom) and she came back with army-prints bandana:



* Note the carseat behind the dog - Miss K poo-ed in the car and her poo leaked onto the carseat. We had to carry her IN her carseat from the car all the way up to the toilet
** Might need XL diapers?

Little Miss Chatterbox

Miss K started to babble long 'sentences' 2 weeks after her 1st birthday....and since then, our peaceful mornings, car rides, and weekends are full of non-stop baby-babbles. We decided to response and converse with her in proper sentences but after awhile we ended up with baby-talk! Tsk tsk tsk ...so young and such a big influence already!

Shopping Cart

I don't usually let Miss K sit on the shopping cart at supermarts as I would always have her in her stroller....last week she insisted of being carried!

So, I decided to prop her onto the shopping cart and was glad that kept her entertained throughout our shopping at fairprice *phew*

I have to say those shopping trolleys at FairpriceXTRA are much newer and cleaner than those at Giant!
Let's go shopping!

Delayed post - Birthday with "classmates"

Miss K celebrated her birthday with her friends at infant care on her Actual Birthday, i.e. 30th August 2010.
I was not allowed in as the centre was keeping a tight control over a suspected HFMD case.
Would like to thank Miss K's infant care teachers who made Miss K's 1st Birthday extra special (all decor, including head accessories provided by the centre! i was so not prepared!)

My Little Swimmer

It has been a while since we last brought Miss K for a swim.
We realised the boat float we got her is still too big for her...
As for now, she prefers to sit on the steps of the pool splish splashing, pretending to be a 'pianist' :)
Definitely more upcoming trips to the pool!

Cupcakes and more...

Ardent fan of cupcakes...took much procrastination and self-convincing before I finally decided to try baking Miss K's birthday (cup)cake.
Was so glad it turned out well.

It was really fun baking Miss K's 1st Birthday cake....brings back memories of when I was a little girl helping my mum bake birthday cakes for myself and my siblings - my mum bakes ALL our birthday cakes!
